Only Heritage Schools, as defined in California Education Code EC Section 33195 should complete this form.
A Heritage School serves children who also attend a separate public or private full-time day school and who are at least 4 years and 9 months of age and no older than 18 years of age. A heritage school does all of the following:
DO NOT FILE A HERITAGE SCHOOL REGISTRATION FORM if this school is a full-time private school. Attendance at which would allow an exemption from compulsory education.
Prior to starting the Heritage School registration process, please ensure that you have all of the required information and have read the Heritage School Registration Instructions.
To submit the registration form, use the Next and Previous buttons to navigate through each section of the form. When complete, select the Review button to confirm all information is accurate. To make changes while viewing the Review and Edit page, select the Edit link in the section you would like to edit. Otherwise select the Submit Registration button to electronically submit the registration form to the CDE. Once submitted, you will be redirected to a Confirmation page and the school owner will receive a confirmation email. Both of which contain links to the Payment Voucher and Transaction Page.
Note: The Heritage School Registration process is not complete until payment of the $250 registration fee has been received by the CDE.
To begin the registration process, check the box below indicating that your school meets the definition of a Heritage School as defined in EC Section 33195 .
