Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood
Annotation:
In the first volume of this autobiography, author Marjane Satrapi employs a graphic-novel format to depict her childhood, from ages six to fourteen—spent in Tehran, Iran, during the years of the Islamic Revolution. Contains black-and-white images. PERSEPOLIS 2 (2004) continues Satrapi’s life story, discussing her move to Vienna in 1984, her feelings of alienation in Austria, and her return home.
