Title:
Of Mice and Men
Annotation:
Steinbeck’s famous play takes place by the banks of a river and in a bunkhouse near Salinas, California. It shows the unlikely friendship of two men: George and Lennie. George is smart, sensitive, and protective of Lennie, a mentally impaired man with the thoughts and comprehension of a child. During the course of the play, George faces the challenge of keeping Lennie focused on work and away from the dangers of Curly and his wife. At the same time, George finds ways to keep alive his dream of owning a piece of land.
